Master Mason Review Answers

               1.  In the 1st Degree a brother is divested of all metallic substances, neither
               naked nor clothed, barefoot or shod, left knee and breast bare, hoodwinked, and a
               Cable Tow once around his neck.

               In the 2nd Degree a brother is divested of all metallic substances, neither naked
               nor clothed, barefoot nor shod, right knee and breast bare, hoodwinked, and a
               Cable Tow twice around his right arm.


               In the 3rd Degree, a brother is divested of all metallic substances, neither naked
               nor clothed, barefoot, both knees and breast bare, hoodwinked, a Cable Tow three
               times  around his body.

               2.  In the 1st Degree the candidate is received on the point of a sharp instrument.
               In the 2nd Degree, the candidate is received on the angle of a square.
               In the 3rd Degree, the candidate is received on the extreme points of the
               compasses.

               3.    In the 1st Degree, the white apron is worn with the flap up.
               In the 2nd Degree, the white apron is worn with the right comer tucked up. In the
               3rd Degree, the apron is worn with the flap and comers turned down.

               4.    The Five Points of Fellowship are explained thusly:

               Foot to Foot -The willingness to go on errands for brothers
               Knee to Knee - That we always remember our brothers in Prayer Breast to
               Breast - That we will always keep the secrets of our brothers
               Hand to Back -That we will always render aid and support to our brothers
               Mouth to Ear - Give wise counsel, with an instructive tongue to an attentive ear

               5.    The five Tenets of Masonry; Friendship, Morality, Brotherly Love, Relief and
               Truth. Of these five, the three principal Tenets of Masonry are Brotherly Love,
               Relief and Truth.

               6.  The Pot in Incense is the Emblem of a pure heart and teaches that we should
               be grateful for the blessings and comforts we enjoy.

               7.  The Beehive is the Emblem of Industry and teaches the virtue to all created
               beings, from the highest to the lowest.

               8.  The Book of Constitutions Guarded by the Tyler's Sword reminds us that we
               should be careful of our thoughts, words and action, pflrlicularly when among the
