Consul General Theresa Dizon-De Vega hosted a holiday Press Night and appreciation dinner for the members of the
Filipino-American media based in New York and New Jersey as a thanksgiving for their partnership and support of the
Consulate General’s public diplomacy efforts. The dinner was at the Peking Duck Restaurant in Manhattan, New York last 18
December 2017.

At the start of the evening, Consul General Dizon-De Vega expressed her gratitude to the guests, many of whom had
just arrived from a media familiarization tour in Manila and Davao. She acknowledged that the success of many of the
Consulate’s programs are in part because of the press coverage from the journalists, and assured those present of continued

dialogue and transparency from the Consulate General.
