Ingredients
•
1 sheet of frozen puff
pastry (thawed)
•
1 onion (thinly sliced)
•
1 tsp of olive oil
•
2-3 large tomatoes
(thinly sliced)
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Prepare ingredients as specified.
Stretch out the puff pastry on a lined
baking sheet. With a fork, poke small
holes along the bottom.
Add onions and olive oil to a skillet
over medium heat.

Salt and pepper for taste
Sauté, stirring frequently,
until soft — about 5 minutes.

Tomato Tart
Method
•
1 cup of your preferred cheese
•
1 tbsp of Italian seasoning/
chopped fresh herbs
(basil & oregano)
6 Add cooked onions over the
pastry dough. Then top with
tomato slices so they don’t
overlap.
7 Sprinkle with cheese and half of
your seasoning or herbs. Then
season with salt and pepper to
your taste.
8 Place into oven and bake for
25 minutes until the crust is
golden.
9 Sprinkle with the remaining
herbs and cut into squares.
