To ensure a continued focus on employee experience, Just Better Care conducts an annual employee engagement and satisfaction survey to seek employee views on everything from workplace flexibility to recognition, training and communication practices. These are the key findings.
According to their feedback, it’s clear Just Better Care staff genuinely enjoy their careers significantly more than most of their industry colleagues.
Results from the company’s annual employee satisfaction survey show more than 78 percent of staff feel excited about going to work, a figure 21 percent higher than the Australian industry benchmark and other healthcare providers.
Meanwhile, nearly eight out of 10 team members (78.7 percent) say they’re satisfied with the opportunities they have to apply their talents and expertise.
In addition, 78.6 percent of employees class themselves as satisfied with the Just Better Care workplace culture, which is 14.6 percent higher than the industry standard.
Some 71.6 percent of field and office staff consider that
communication between leaders/ management and employees
is good at the organisation, as opposed to 56 percent from employees at competitor providers.
While 78 percent of staff at competitor organisations feel inspired to meet their goals at work, 87.2 percent (an additional
9 percent) of Just Better Care staff felt similarly.
But it’s not just workplace culture and career opportunities where Just Better Care shines, according to survey respondents.
The results showed that Just Better Care staff also have a great understanding of the aims of the business, with more than nine out of 10 staff (94.9 percent) in agreeance that they understand how their work impacts the organisation’s goals.
Other areas in which Just Better Care outperforms according to staff include workplace flexibility,
where 90.1 percent of respondents felt satisfied, compared to an industry benchmark of 69 percent; and in the field of diversity where 85.1 percent of staff consider that Just Better Care is “dedicated
to diversity and inclusiveness”, against an industry standard of just 19 percent. A remarkable difference and one that the organisation is incredibly proud of.
Safety was also a key area, with almost nine out of 10
staff in agreeance that Just Better Care offers a safe working environment – a result that is
9 percent higher than its competitors.
While there is no industry benchmark to compare to, an impressive 83.7 percent of Just Better Care staff would happily recommend Just Better Care as a “good place to work”.
