• This term you have covered a large amount of theory

required for the IGCSE examinations, from looking at
legislation, online communities, how the Internet has
impacted our lives and the security issues raised in using
digital devices. Well done on your terrific achievements!

• For the summer programme, I have included some
tasks that will help you catch up on anything you missed
out on, or found difficult, during the term.

• For those pupils who managed to complete all the
assignments, have a great summer break. You could use

this opportunity to research and read around the subject
more, particularly in the news where we hear of security
breaches on a regular basis. How secure is the data that
businesses and the Government hold about us? A
particular area of interest is the “test and
trace” app for Covid-19.
