Breaking the Curse of Poverty David K. Owusu
blessed by God by the reason of his association with Joseph.
You need to understand that life is about associations and
connections. You must be intentional and purposeful about who
you connect with.
You must be wise and discern who you call your friend – not
everyone qualifies to be your friend.
The Bible says in Provers 13:20 [nASB],
“He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of
fools will suffer harm.”
Connect with people who will challenge you and cause you to
progress, to become a better person. Choose to associate with people
who will represent and support what you stand for.
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:33
“Do not be deceived, bad company corrupts good morals.”
[NASB],
You become like the people you associate with closely there is a
saying that if you walk with four rich people you become the fifth
one likewise if you walk with four poor people you become the fifth
one. Wrong people waste your time, energy and resources. If you
associate with the wrong people, you will be torn into pieces.
