The Prayer Mantle
[18] If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear
me :
[19] But verily God hath heard me ; he hath attended to
the voice of my prayer.
[20] Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my
prayer, nor his mercy from me.
SCRIPTURE IN FOCUS Matthew 26:41KJV
[41] Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation:
the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
SCRIPTURE EXPOSITION
Jesus admonished His disciples to pray so that they do not
enter into temptation. The more you pray, the more your
spirit is strengthen and the more you gain mastery over
your flesh. When Jesus was teaching His disciples how to
pray, He said to them, "when you are praying say ... lead
us not into temptation but deliver us from evil” - Matthew
6:13. It is very imperative to understand that if Jesus told
his disciples to pray against falling into temptation, then
you also need to do the same. When you become
spiritually strong and you are able to stand temptation
there is a crown you receive from God. James 1:12 says
“Blessed is the man that endures temptations: for when
he is tried, he shall receive a crown of life, which the
Lord has promised them that love him”.
