The Prayer Mantle

[10] And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh
that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my
coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that
thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve
me! And God granted him that which he requested.
SCRIPTURE EXPOSITION

The name Jabez means pain or sorrow. His mother called
him “pain” because she gave birth to him in pain and
sorrow. The name his mother gave him was affecting his
destiny and daily life. He came to a point where he decided
to change the course of his life. He earnestly prayed for
God to bless him, enlarge his territory and keep him from
evil. God changed the cause of his life and granted him his
request. The man who was known as pain because he
caused and experienced pain was transformed to be
honourable and respected than all his brethren. It does not
matter how much pain you are going through right now, if
you can take it to God in prayer, He will turn the situation
around.

PRAYER BULLETS
[1] I decree and declare in the name of Jesus that today
every negative meaning associated with my name is
broken. Like Jacob, my name and destiny is changed
to a new name that is associated with my blessings in
Jesus name - Genesis 32:28.
[2] I release into my life every blessing that belongs to me
before the beginning of time in Jesus name.
[3] I decree and declare that my coast is enlarged in Jesus
name. I spread to the east, the west, north and south.
