The Prayer Mantle
[25] And he cried unto the Lord ; and the Lord shewed
him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the
waters were made sweet: there he made for them a
statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,
[26] And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice
of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his
sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep
all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon
thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am
the Lord that healeth thee.
[27] And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of
water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they
encamped there by the waters.
SCRIPTURE EXPOSITION
God is Jehovah Rapha - God our healer. He does not only
heal the infirmities in our bodies but he heals all the
unpleasant situations in our life. In the exodus of the
Israelites, the water that was supposed to give them a
refreshing turned out to be bitter. But when Moses the
servant of the Lord cried out, God sweetened the water for
them. What is that situation that tastes bitter in your life
right now? Is it your marriage? Is it your academics? Is it
your profession? Is it the family you come from? Is it your
life as a whole? God can turn that bitter situation into a
sweet one. As you go to God in prayer, may God turn every
bitter situation in your life to sweetness in Jesus name.
