our guide even unto death.
SCRIPTURE IN FOCUS Philippians 3:10 KJV
[10] That I may know him, and the power of his
resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being
made conformable unto his death.
SCRIPTURE EXPOSITION
From the scripture above, we understand that Paul desired
to know more about the power of the resurrection of our
Lord Jesus Christ - power that is so potent to give life to
dead situations and circumstances. In Romans 8:11, the
Bible says that “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus
from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from
the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through
His Spirit who dwells in you”.
The word “quicken” means to make alive, speed up,
accelerate, step up, stimulate, stir up, arouse, rouse,
waken, animate, activate, incite, galvanize, instigate,
whet, inspire, kindle, fan, refresh, strengthen, invigorate,
reanimate, reactivate, revive, revitalize, resuscitate and
revivify. The spirit that caused Christ to resurrect is
capable of raising everything that is dead in your life.
Situations that are practically dead will be revived to life
when the power of resurrection comes upon you. Homes
that are in ruins will experience joy again by this same
power that raised Jesus from the dead. People that are
spiritually dead can be made spiritually alert by the
resurrection power. Armed with this knowledge, go to God
in prayer.
