Many of whom may have known
Of the Toxic Contradictions The Reality speaks Otherwise
This flag can never represent
That would poison the future of this great land
The Rich diversity and Dynamic heritage of southern folk
From a Failed Reconstruction
Where the African American Experience has played a Central Role
A Compromised Civil Rights Movement
And a Thwarted Black Power Movement Burn and Bury
Let it go Let it go
To silenced Affirmation Action
Burn and Bury
And the countless Lynchings
The Whites over Blacks
Occurrences of Police Brutality
And instances of injustices in between Burn and Bury
We see the Consistent Resistance Let it go Let it go
Burn and Bury
To social respect and Justice
The Systematic Attacks
We are in Haunted times
Where Race and Blackness If We Cannot resolve the issue of the Confederate flag
Are debated and presented like Magic Something we Can See and Touch
How can we as a nation process the complex things we can Not See?
Tricking our Best Minds
As We continue to fly this flag
Is not only Passive-Aggressive and disrespectful!
Burn and Bury But it promotes Visual Terrorism
Let it go Let it go And if Black People and sympathetic others
Burn and Bury Are not in Constant Resistance
And Protest of such symbols
The Pain and The Woe
Then we Run the Risk of sending the Wrong Signal
The Confederate Flag flying
Burn and Bury The Fergusons

And the cases like Baltimore are powerful examples

That Show there is a consistent lack of respect for black people
The Stars and Bars- No Mo
And where there is No Respect
There is No Justice
We are in War Times And then No Peace
Where Racial Deflection

And White Supremacy

And Privilege are on one side

And Black Poverty All that divide
And Mass Incarceration

And Double Consciousness
