Being frustrated with your allergies is completely normal. And it can happen in a variety of situations. It can be frustrating to see other people eating everything every day while we have to avoid so much because we developed food allergies - something we have no control over. It is okay to feel frustrated. But it is important to recognize what causes you to feel frustrated so that you can better cope with these feelings. You may find yourself frustrated because of a particular incident or situation. Or maybe you are just frustrated with the fact that you have allergies in general. If you know you’re heading for a situation that may be tough to handle, prepare ahead of time as best you can. If you’re simply feeling frustrated with having allergies, that’s okay. However, taking a step back to think about everything that you are thankful for can help put things in perspective. Take a look at the chapter about “Seeing the Bright Side” for more helpful tips that may help with frustration.
