Chapter 6
High School and Allergies
Introduction
Remember how simple things were in elementary school? You had class with the same people, lunch was in the lunchroom, and homework never really took up too much of your time. There was so much structure like lining up after recess and the eagle-eye lunch monitors who made sure you washed your hands after you ate.
High school is a very different place from elementary school. Hundreds or even thousands of students are going every which way in this hyper-speed, mini-society filled with academics, arts, sports and, let’s not forget, social drama! In the span of only one summer before high school, you are pushed into being more responsible for your grades, time management, decisions and, of course, your allergies. There’s no magic formula to handle it all like a pro. But hearing how others have managed can definitely help.
