Samantha Gray When we had a furry friend die in winter... it was trash
can time. Also one we planted a garden and unearthed a grave of a
fallen pet. Whoops.

Hilary Branson Someone once told me that they found a dead dog in
a garbage bag while digging in their garden. I guess from the previous
owners. That's kind of crossing the line on diy animal burial. But at
least they put it in a bag. But still. I am researching taxidermy, though.
Would it be weird if I taxidermied my ferret?

Samantha Gray Not at all. FYI my dog is buried in a shallow grave in
the backyard wrapped in a blanket... she might be a skeleton with a
collar and blankie. Hopefully no one digs under the tree.

Hilary Branson I just googled "dog casket" and the fact that they
even make those blows my mind. Can you imagine digging and finding
a full-blown mini-casket? It would probably freak me out more than dog
