Page 5 - ENG PETA
P. 5
A smile has something it hides
He may seem bright and happy at first
sight
But inside that person slowly dies
He has been fighting with all his might
But the smile we knew was fake from the
very start
For us it was just a small
misunderstanding, but for him it was one
big fight
His smile never came from the heart
It came from the pain he’s been feeling
inside
The pain that is as sharp and piercing as
a dart
His smile may be shown on both sides
But he cries every night
He breaks down when he hears the sentence
“It’s okay, there’s no need to hide"
His smile may be bright
But there’s still something he’s keeping
in himself from the very start
The hidden trauma that’s still giving him
a big fright
A real smile and a fake one may be hard to
tell apart
But a fake one is a pain that one keeps
inside and instead shows happiness outside
A pain that hurts like a dart
Look, it’s okay to hide
I guess you just have to continue the
fight
You’re good as long as you don’t lose your
smile on the outside
Fight with all your might
Fight with your heart
And win until it is your last night
