Thoughts from
Harlan’s desk……….
September. Labor Day approaching. Kids are heading back to school.
Sunsets are earlier and earlier. A crispness is in the air. You may think this
is a negative start to my article, but quite the contrary. I LOVE FALL GOLF!
This is my favorite time of year to play. Let me tell you all the reasons you
should love fall golf:
1) Your game is in top form. You have worked hard all season to get it to
this point. All the range sessions, putting practice, and talking golf with
the staff has led you to this moment to play great!
2) The course is in fantastic shape. We get very spoiled here from Dustin
and his crew all year long, but now grass (like our golf game) is in peak
form. With the grass not growing as fast, the greens get smoother and
faster.
3) Extra roll. As the weather gets cooler, the course firms up. Who
doesn’t like extra yardage on a well struck tee shot.
4) Scenery at its best. There is nothing like golfing in the fall colors. Blue
skies while hitting your golf ball through the reds, yellows, and oranges
of the trees.
5) Better Appreciation. We all know what comes after fall. As we walk
down the fairways, we don’t care as much of what we shoot. We just
want to be outdoors enjoying the afternoon with great friends.
Make sure you keep North Shore on your “To Do” list and see for yourself
what I am talking about.
