A VERY RARE AND UNUSUAL SMALL TURQUOISE-EMBELLISHED GILT-
BRONZE DRAGON-FORM GARMENT HOOK
NORTH CHINA, 3RD-2ND CENTURY BC
The garment hook is cast in openwork with the coiled body of a dragon with two tiny
turquoise inlays, the beast’s long neck terminating in the head of a camel set at an angle
to form the hook. A large circular button is on the back.
