with two elephant-head handles and with gold splashes
Qing dynasty, probably early nineteenth century
Cast bronze with applied gold splashes, with rust-brown coating, and with
a chiseled relief mark in standard-script (kaishu) characters reading Da
Ming Xuandenian zhi in a recessed square cartouche on the base, the cover
hammered, turned, and cold worked
