                                                                    vessel was formally believed to have been used to hold
                                                                    cosmetics,  but  recent  archeological  discoveries  and
                                                                    especially  the  inscription found  on one such vessel
                                                                    have enabled us to correct this misconception. We now
                                                                    know that these vessels were called zun (樽), and were
                                                                    used to warm wine.
