AMONGST LOTUSES bordering the current work indicate that it was used for worship of
NORTH INDIA, RAJASTHAN, LATE 19TH CENTURY Shrinathji during the summer months, in the Nathwara district of
Opaque pigments on textile Rajasthan. In this picchvai, Radha and Krishna walk blithely through
90¾ x 78¼ in. (230.5 x 198.6 cm.)
the waters of the Yamuna River, while devotees and attendants watch
$ 12,000-15,000 in amusement.
