         JIAJING SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE   ࢦݪٖजዴඵඵ卿නጔप⊿卿ᝳ⎏ᑆ㕕卿ᝳ⎏㶯ほぱ卿ᝳ⎏

         The jar is exquisitely painted in underglaze blue of brilliant deep   ὞ǯ㘆㑷⽔㱈㫐㵲⸥≓⡠Ӭॶ卿ᄓ㬪ⱤᝧǸഌᚺૃ㬬ჺㅳǹ
         purplish tone on the high-shouldered body with a continuous   ᥓᝧ᪪ǯ⸌ڬ㬷㱈ᐙ៨㬦ⱐれᡥ⡠卿⸌㬷⥾ᘞངᅴỉⅸ⸥≓
         scene of sixteen boys at various leisurely pursuits including one
                                                           ⡠卿ӳ⧡㠩㢲⡠༾ⅸ㟏ǯ
         who is impersonating the school master, seated on a high-backed
         chair in front of a baby crawling towards a book; another boy
                                                           ϝᬝ
         pulling on strings attached to a toy cart on the ground, observed   ⫽ዃᛌ།ᚉⅧ⻦
         by his friend who is holding a large lotus leaf over the head of his
                                                           ⡥⡙⼖༛ᬘ卿     ჺ    ᝲ    ᚚ卿ᐽ৅     ⽚
         companion riding a hobby-horse, in the further distance three
         boys are clustered around a square table and peering into a jar,   㬱㈊లⅧ⻦
         probably containing fighting crickets, whilst another is riding   㲞ᳰצ೥ᇑ卿     ჺ    ᝲ   ᝲ卿ᐽ৅     ⽚
         on a cart, being towed by his friend, with two others who are   㲞ᳰצ೥ᇑ卿     ჺ    ᝲ    ᚚ卿ᐽ৅      ⽚
         acting as attendants, one holding a large fan and the other offering   㞒㇝☆՞ᘘ⻦
         a potted plant, all within a terraced garden with plantains and
         pine trees, between overlapping lappets at the base and shaped   ⮐㙽
         panels enclosing fruit and floral sprays reserved on a wan-diaper   Ƕ㲞ᳰצ೥ᇑՀࢦ㙉ჺ୪㰀         厍ԋஇ≢଍ࣿ႙⻱৅
         ground on the shoulder. The cover is decorated on the sides with   ⠢㚁Ƿ卿㲞ᳰ卿    ჺ卿㮰
         fruiting peach and lingzhi branches, the upper surface with trefoils
         enclosing radiating panels, below a bud-shaped finial with upright
         lappets below cash symbols and ruyi-heads.
