A LONGAN WOOD DAYBED, TA A BLACKWOOD HIGH-BACK
QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY ARMCHAIR
of rectangular form, constructed with a the rectangular backsplat centred with a
rectangular soft woven cane surface supported rectangular woven cane panel, the reverse
by pale webbing and radiating braces on the lacquered, framed by a top rail supported by two
underside, the surface set into the frame forming back stiles, the top rail with a gently protruding
the seat, the frame with a round edge ending rounded centre forming the headrest, the stiles
in a slightly concave band, above a constricted joined with a pair of S-shaped arms supported
waist and a plain bulging beaded-edged apron, by curved posts, the seat with a woven cane seat
all supported on four sturdy beaded-edged legs reinforced by palm fibre webbing and enclosed by
ending in hoof feet a frame with an indented section at the front, all
