The jade 19th century, the shaft later
The boxwood sceptre inset with three shaped jade plaques, the
largest carved with a group of scholars engaging in leisurely pursuits in
a garden scene, the central shaft depicting Li Tieguai, one of the Eight
Immortals, holding a double gourd in front of a sage, the third plaque
with a portable basket carrying lingzhi fungi, the shaft finely inset with
a further basket of flowers and lingzhi in silver wire.
