A VERY RARE IMPERIAL INSCRIBED 清乾隆 掐絲琺瑯御製詩洋菊圖掛屏
CLOISONNE ENAMEL RECTANGULAR 詩文: 海西奇種晚秋叢,標節含芳迥鮮同。繪幀早添新物色,
PANEL 瓦盆不改舊家風。瀼瀼露氾霞殤紫,晭晭曦承傘蓋
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795) 紅。驀地若逢陶徵士,柴桑應未識籬東。御製洋菊詩。
The rectangular panel is finely decorated with three pots of 臣王際華敬書
chrysanthemum with petals finely rendered in pink, white, red and 印:臣華、敬書
yellow enamels against wan-character diaper, all below a gilt poem
by the Qianlong Emperor praising chrysanthemums, followed 來源
by the two characters Yuzhi (Imperial Poem), and an inscription 德國私人珍藏,入藏於 1911 年前(據傳)
signed by Wang Jihua (Respectfully inscribed by your servant Lemperts Cologne,2006 年 6 月,拍品 212 號
Wang Jihua), and two seals chen Hua and jingshu.
32√ x 56º in. (83.5 x 142.5 cm.) with huali frame and gilt bronze 詩為乾隆於己卯年(1759)所作,題為「洋菊」,載於《御製詩二集》,
dragon hanger 卷九十(圖一)。

The poem on the present panel, composed by the Qianlong Emperor, is 屏,拍賣於香港佳士得,2014 年 5 月 28 日,拍品 3015 號。

The inscription following the poem includes the name Wang Jihua 且書同一首御題詩,拍賣於北京保利,2010 年 12 月 4 日,拍品 3645 號

of Wang Jihua are rare. Compare to a pair of cloisonné enamel ’peony’
panels, illustrated in The Prime Cultural Relics Collected by Shenyang 乾隆帝亦繪製多幅菊花墨寶,其對菊花的喜愛程度可見一斑。

The current cloisonné panel is almost identical in composition to an
ink and colour on paper hanging scroll by Qian Weicheng (1720-1772),
which also bears the same Imperial poem, sold at Beijing Poly, 4
December 2010, lot 3645 (fig. 2).
