BOWL
SONG-YUAN DYNASTY (960-1368)
The bowl is carved with rounded sides
rising to a very slightly incurved mouth
rim, supported on a short foot. The semi-
translucent stone is of an even white tone
with ‘snowflake’ inclusions.

BEAST
JIN-YUAN DYNASTY (1115-1368)
The beast is carved with a single horn,
seated on its haunches, a scaly body and
hooved feet, all with finely incised details.
The stone is of a semi-translucent white
tone.
