                                                                                                                                   where it is suggested that this vibrant purplish glaze was an
                                                                                                                                   innovation of the late Kangxi period. Further dishes of this
                                                                                                                                   type include one from the collection of Edward T. Chow,
                                                                                                                                   sold in our London rooms, 27th November 1973, lot 378,
                                                                                                                                   and again in these rooms, 25th November 1980, lot 82; one
                                                                                                                                   from the Hall Family collection, sold in these rooms, 2nd
                                                                                                                                   May 2000, lot 523; and a third sold in these rooms, 14th
                                                                                                                                   November 1983, lot 142, and again at Christie’s Hong Kong,
                                                                                                                                   27th May 2008, lot 1794.
