rim, the body a deep reddish brown tone with a fine crackle throughout. carved with a continuous garden scene with a cat glancing upward at
2 1/8in (5.3cm) high a flying bird, the opaque amber with variegated tones of yellow-ochre

An amber snuff bottle with quail

Of upright rectangular form with a flat lip and oval foot rim, one face
carved with two quail beneath sheaves of millet, reversed by a four
character inscription in seal script, the sides with boldly carved mask handles
with long pendant rings, the amber an even deep orange-red color.
