The brush pot is carved through the ruby-red
overlay to the ‘snowfake’ ground with a
continuous scene of ladies and boys at play
amidst gnarled pines, rocks and other plants
within a fenced garden.

18TH-19TH CENTURY
The vase is carved through the ruby-red
overlay to the bubble-sufused ground with a
continuous scene of scholars and attendants
in two pavilions amidst lotus pond, all below the
sun and swirling clouds on the shoulder which
is fanked by a pair of lingzhi-form handles.
