P R O V E NAN C E :
A Kyoto private collection, acquired in early 20th century, by repute
It is rare to find a tixi lacquer dish as deeply carved and well preserved as the present dish.
The quality of carving on the present dish is comparable to the three-colour tixi lacquer circular
tray of the Song dynasty sold at Christie’s Hong Kong, 28 May 2021, lot 2958.
