A RARE CARVED OPENWORK WHITE
JADE PLAQUE
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The upper section of the plaque is intricately carved and pierced
with two confronted mythical beasts. The lower circular section is
carved with the characters chang yi zi sun, ‘eternal benefits for future
generations’, flanked by two archaistic phoenixes.
