          A CELADON JADE-INSET HARDWOOD RUYI SCEPTRE
          THE JADE PLAQUES, YUAN-MING DYNASTY, 14TH-15TH CENTURY
          THE WOOD SCEPTRE, 19TH CENTURY
          The hardwood sceptre is inlaid with diferent shou characters. It is inset with
          three jade plaques well-carved in openwork with birds amongst fowers and
          leafy tendrils. The jade is of a pale greyish-green celadon tone.
