A PAIR OF HUALI YOKEBACK SIDECHAIRS, DENGGUAYI
EARLY 20TH CENTURY
The shaped crestrail is supported on a plain s-curved backsplat and curved
rear posts which continue through the seat to form the rear legs. The
rectangular seat frame encloses a mat seat, above the plain aprons and
rounded curved aprons and straight spandrels. The legs are of round section
joined by stepped stretchers at the side and footrest at front.
