A PARCEL-GILT BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER
17TH CENTURY
The circular censer is raised on three ruyi-shaped feet. It is fnely chased and
gilt in relief with six detached fruiting branches and vines, including peach,
persimmon, fnger citron, grape, pomegranate and lychee, all against a dark
ground. The centre of the base is incised with a maker’s name, Wenming.
