          A WHITE AND RUSSET JADE ‘CRANE AND PEACH’ CARVING
          QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
          The carving depicts a recumbent crane with its legs tucked beneath its body
          and its head resting upon its back, beside a fruiting peach branch. The details
          of its wing feathers are intricately incised. The stone is of a milky white tone
          with attractive russet inclusions to several areas.
