A RED-GROUND SILK EMBROIDERED INFORMAL ROBE
19TH CENTURY
The robe is embroidered with butterfies and foral sprays. The edges and
sleeve bands are trimmed with fowers, birds and butterfies in ‘three blue’ silk
threads on a dark blue ground.
