CATALOGUE NOTE

It is rare to find a bronze bowl of this familiar ceramic form. Bowls of this shape are, however, occasionally found in
silver. The interior and exterior of the bowl are carefully turned and the surface is smoothed, displaying an even light
patina. The underside of the shallow footrim shows clear evidence of turning. The only decorative elements are
incised lines on the inside and outside of the rim and those faintly displayed in the centre of the inside of the bowl.
