TIER STAND

⋩ 㛐 the taller tier positioned adjacent to the longer lower tier,
ℓ 搚 designed at an angle for a trompe l’oeil e! ect of greater depth,
ᶾ 湫 each tier with a nanmu top panel with an attractive grain, the
䲨ġġġ 㣲 narrow sides of the stand each with an integral panel carved in
㛐 openwork with birds amidst fruiting and blossoming branches or
晽 a beribboned qin, and terminating in a square scroll set above a
剙 low foot and connecting to a shaped stretcher, the broad sides of
沍 the stand each set with boxwood spandrels carved in openwork
䲳 with composite ß oral scrolls and gnarled pine trees
