                   ‘BUDDHIST LION’ GROUP

               䌱   the recumbent mother with a small cub clambering on her back,
               晽   both with large round eyes, ruyi-shaped noses, and ß attened
               ⣒   ears, the fur in Þ ne incised lines, the spines and musculature
               䋭   carved in low relief, the mother with mouth open to reveal two
               ⮹   rows of teeth, the stone a warm beige with swaths of caramel
               䋭

                                                                        ‘CHILONG’ POURING VESSEL

                                                                    䌱   the ovoid body rising to a slightly irregular incurved rim, one
                                                                    晽   end of the rim extending to a concave surface for pouring, the
                                                                    坕   opposite end with two openwork clambering chilong forming the
                                                                    漵   handle, the front paws and jaws clutching the rim, the sinuous
                                                                    䲳   bodies and tails wrapping around the sides, the stone an even
                                                                    䙫   bluish-green with patches of russet, wood stand (2)
