A BLUE-GLAZED SQUARE
VASE, CONG
QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK
AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The rectangular body is sturdily potted
of square section, applied with a pair of
moulded elephant-heads, each suspending
a mock ring-handle, all covered with a
lustrous dark violet-blue glaze, paling to a
lighter blue on the extremities.
