ARCHAISTIC VASE, ZHI
MING DYNASTY, 16TH CENTURY
The slightly compressed body is crisply cast in relief to each side with a
bold taotie mask with raised horns, below a band of geometric pattern
on the neck, which is flanked by a pair of tubular handles.

A BRONZE CENSER
Qing Dynasty, 17TH-18TH CENTURY
The censer is cast with a pair of cloud-scroll form handles flanking
the compressed body decorated with a lappet band around the
mid-section. One side is cast with an apocryphal Xuande six-
character mark and the base with a three-character inscription
feiyunge (Pavilion of Buoyant Clouds).

A BRONZE MYTHICAL BEAST-FORM WATER
DROPPER
MING DYNASTY, 16TH CENTURY
The horned creature is well cast facing forward with its legs in a
crouching position. The beard, mane, and bifurcated tail are finely
detailed. It is holding an ear cup in its mouth, acting as a spout for
the water.
