A WHITE AND RUSSET JADE
‘DRAGON’ FINIAL
MING-QING DYNASTY (1368-1911)
The finial is carved and pierced to the
upper terminal with two chilong. The
lower terminal is decorated with taotie
masks. The stone is of a pale tone infused
with russet inclusions.

A CELADON JADE CARVING
OF A HORSE
LATE MING DYNASTY
The pebble is well carved in the round
with a recumbent horse rendered with
hind legs tucked under its body, its long
mane and tail well detailed. The stone is
of a pale celadon tone with some russet
inclusions.
