One collector’s seal of Xiong Shiyi (1902-1991)

NOTE:

Xiong Shiyi (Hsiung Shih-I, 1902-1991), a native
of Jiangxi, was a renowned playwright, writer, and
translator of English plays into Chinese. In 1932, he
travelled to London to pursue further studies. After
moving to Hong Kong in 1955, he became one of
the founders of Tsing Hua College. His collection
of Chinese paintings is of high quality.

註：熊式一（1902-1991），江西南昌人，筆名
熊适逸。著名劇作家，翻譯家。1932年負笈倫
