WANLI SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE
BLUE WITHIN A LAPPET CARTOUCHE AND OF THE
PERIOD (1573-1619)
The interior is decorated with peonies borne on leafy stems
beside tall rocks and beneath clusters of double peaches.
The exterior is decorated with shaped panels reserved on a
diaper ground containing further peonies.

A VERY LARGE BLUE AND WHITE LOBED TEMPLE
VASE
WANLI SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE
IN A LINE AT THE RIM AND OF THE PERIOD (1573-1619)
The tall flared neck is decorated with vertical panels of
lingzhi and panels of branches of flowers, butterflies and
insects, divided by a raised bands of dragons chasing flaming
pearls. The slightly splayed foot and bulbous mid-section are
decorated with vertical panels of animals in landscape settings
above decorative borders.
