The larger is cast as a dragon with sinuous,
contorted body tapering towards the long
neck and head forming the hook; the smaller
is cast as a beast's head with horns tapering
at back to a dragon-head hook.

Each staff end is of slightly tapering
cylindrical form set with a single spur, and
raised on a lower faceted section spreading
into a circular base.
