18th/19th century
Crisply carved as a recumbent luohan probably Bodhidharma, the
thick folds of the robe falling from his broad shoulders revealing just
his hands tucked into his sleeves as well as his feet at the hem, the
intense expression of contemplation highlighted by his furrowed brow,
fierce curling moustache and beard beneath his bald head,
wood stand and box.

A WHITE JADE STANDING LADY CARRYING A TRAY WITH THE
‘THREE ABUNDANCES’
Late Qing Dynasty/ Republic Period
The slender figure gracefully carved wearing long, belted robes that
cover her feet and a celestial scarf billowing behind the shoulders, her
hair tied in a chignon, holding a tray in her right hand with a tray with
peach, a pomegranate and a Buddha’s hand citron, wood stand
and box.
