Our successful sale of Ming Furniture – The Dr S.Y. Yip Collection in 2015 demonstrated the exquisite
taste of a renowned collector and the timeless beauty of museum-quality Ming furniture.
In our upcoming sale Portable Treasures, we will bring another sumptuous offering of Ming design
to international collectors. The sale encapsulates Dr Yip’s unparalleled vision of both furniture items
and table-top pieces. These portable treasures were mostly purchased from the gallery of Grace Wu
Bruce, known as ‘the Queen of Huanghuali’. These rare pieces are a perfect manifestation of her
impeccable standards and professionalism.
I thank Dr Yip wholeheartedly for his support and trust in our brand, and I am truly grateful for Grace
Wu Bruce’s invaluable advice on displaying this collection.
