           Meiji (1868-1912) or Taisho (1912-1926)
           era, late 19th/early 20th century
           The elongated ovoid vase painted in
           colored enamels with a detailed design of
           three crows on a snow-covered branch of
           blossoming cherry, the scene highlighted
           with fine dots of gilt, the shoulder and foot
           decorated with floral and geometric bands,
           signed on the underside Kyoto Okamoto
           with the mark of the Shimazu family and
           the Yasuda Company mark
           11 1/8in (28.2cm) high
