Mi-style landscape zhencang belong to the important late Qing official and publisher Kuai
Hanging scroll, ink and light color on paper, inscribed by the artist Guangdian (蒯光典, 1857-1911) and his nephew Kuai Shoushu (蒯壽
and signed Daofu with two artist’s seals reading Baiyang shanren and 樞, d. 1945). The same seals appear on Zhao Mengfu’s (1254-1322)

Mountains and Dayao Village--in his family’s collection of ancient
$50,000 - 80,000 paintings. Although most well-known as bird and flower painter,
Chen Daofu’s landscapes-especially his later ones--often follow the

painting with a Wu School palette, and his creative brushwork adds a
vibrancy to the composition.
