Oliver Edmund Clubb (1901-1989) was an American Foreign Service
（仿）郎世寧 歐式風景人物 設色紙本 立軸 officer who first went to China in 1929. According to his obituary in the
Washington Post, Clubb was last American diplomat stationed in Peking
after 1949, and with his lowering of the flag at the American consulate in
China in April 1950, the embassy was shuttered until 1979.
