painted with figural scenes and blooming branches in
panels, six Buddhist signs at the top. At the bottom a
Jiajing six-character mark, but Kangxi dynasty. Later
Dutch silver mounting. H. Incl. the lid 15 cm.

painted with the scenery of the 'promising future painted around the exterior in vivid varying shades of blue with
of scholarship' accompanied by a musical trio in continuous foliate lotus scrolls, between upright overlapping lappets
a fenced garden bordered by an old tree and its border above the foot and foliate scroll around the neck, two metal
blooming branches; two impressive butterflies. hinges mounted on the neck. Wanli 1573-1619. H. 36 cm.
